Travhalór Wearable Luggage Jacket with Hidden Compression Storage
The Travhalór is a wearable luggage jacket: a travel coat with hidden, vacuum-compressing storage built directly into the lining. Wearable luggage lets you carry a full bag's worth of clothing on your body rather than in a bag, so it is not counted, weighed, or measured as luggage. Depending on the size you wear, the Travhalór carries roughly 20 to 22 lbs of clothing. Unlike other luggage jackets that rely on oversized pockets, it ships with three nylon vacuum bags and a portable electric pump, so clothing is flattened before it goes in and the jacket still lies flat and wears comfortably.
Use as much or as little of it as you need. Packing light? Load the compartments directly and leave the bags at home. Squeezing in every last item? Use the vacuum bags. Forgot the pump? Seal a bag and roll it from the closed end to push the air out by hand. And when you would rather not wear it, the jacket converts into a shoulder bag, so you are not stuck sweating through a warm terminal to keep your capacity.
Exorbitant carry-on fees and financially incentivized gate agents forcing a $100 "oversize" charge on personal items is what gave birth to this jacket. We like to say this is the jacket that keeps on giving💵 in a world that keeps on taking.

Sizing
The Travhalór is a unisex fit in sizes XS to XL, worn by both men and women. There is a genuine choice to make here:
- Want a closer, more tailored look? Size down. Many women prefer this.
- Want maximum capacity? Stay true to size. More lining area means more room for clothing, so a roomier fit literally carries more.

Wearable Luggage Jacket FAQ
What is a wearable luggage jacket?
A wearable luggage jacket is a garment designed to carry clothing on your body instead of in a bag. Most luggage jackets use oversized internal pockets. The Travhalór uses vacuum compression instead, which holds more in less space and keeps the silhouette flat.
How much can the Travhalór hold?
Roughly 20 to 22 lbs of clothing, depending on the size you wear: larger sizes have more lining area and therefore more capacity. Soft, compressible items are what it is built for, such as t-shirts, underwear, socks, and thin layers. Shoes and rigid items do not compress and are a poor use of the space.
What size should women order?
Both work, and it depends what you want. Sizing down gives a closer, more tailored fit. Staying true to size gives you more capacity, since the extra lining area carries more clothing. Neither is wrong.
Do I have to use the vacuum bags every time?
No. The compartments hold clothing perfectly well on their own, so on a short trip you can load the lining directly and skip the bags. The vacuum bags are there for when you want to maximize how much you carry.
Do I need the pump?
No. The pump is faster and gets the bags flatter, but you can seal a bag and roll it firmly from the closed end toward the valve to push the air out by hand. That means you can re-compress on the return leg even if the pump is packed away.
What if I get too warm wearing it?
Open it up and it converts into a shoulder bag, so you can carry the same load without wearing it through a warm terminal, then put it back on at the gate.
Is a luggage jacket allowed on a plane?
Yes. Airlines set limits on bags, not on clothing worn on your body, and worn items are not weighed or measured. Note that you remove outerwear at security screening like any other jacket.
Does it count as a carry-on or a personal item?
Worn clothing is not counted as either. That is what makes wearable luggage useful on Basic Economy fares, which restrict you to a personal item only, and on budget carriers that charge for the overhead carry-on.
How is this different from a pocket travel jacket?
Pocket-based travel jackets and travel vests spread items across many small compartments, which works well for electronics and documents but bulges when loaded with clothes. Compression removes the air first, so the same volume of clothing takes up far less space and sits flatter.
